It might seem audacious to tackle the topic of how astrology operates, especially given my limited experience in the field. Moreover, the exact workings of astrology remain somewhat elusive. Numerous theories exist, but many lack scientific backing. Some suggest that our destinies are preordained, while others propose that the universe is attempting to impart lessons to us.

However, if we attempt to explore astrology through a scientific framework, I believe we can uncover significant insights, even with our current understanding of the cosmos. At its essence, astrology rests on a fundamental premise:

The planets exert influence over the Earth and the life it harbors.

With this simple assertion, science can clarify two primary inquiries:

  1. What emissions are generated by the planets?
  2. How do Earth and its inhabitants respond to these emissions?

Though challenging, I believe we can formulate reasonable assumptions based on existing knowledge.

What Emissions Do Planets Generate?

One theory, proposed by mathematician and radio engineer Edward Johndro in the 1930s, posits that each planet emits a distinct set of oscillating electrical signals. This could account for the differing influences of planets like Mars and Venus on our lives.

Another perspective comes from astrologer and historian Robert Hand, who suggested in the 1980s that planets produce background noise, akin to the static of a malfunctioning television. He theorized that when planets align in specific angular formations, this noise harmonizes, transmitting resonant information that humans and the Earth can perceive.

This notion resonates with me; it evokes a poetic image of celestial bodies harmonizing in their interactions.

A third hypothesis, presented by German climatologist Theodor Landscheit in the 1960s, asserts that each planet possesses a gravitational field that serves as a communication channel. He theorized that the barycenter— the center of mass between the Sun and a planet—undergoes irregular movements, leading to solar eruptions and the release of high-energy particles that impact the Earth's magnetic field and atmosphere.

If scientists can propose these three plausible mechanisms, the idea that planets emit something significant does not seem unreasonable. While we may not fully understand which theory holds true, I believe we are close to uncovering the truth.

How Do We Perceive These Cosmic Influences?

Assuming that planets communicate with us—whether through electrical signals or gravitational shifts—how do humans on Earth actually receive these messages?

Current research indicates that certain animals utilize magnetic fields for navigation, and some are known to synchronize their circadian rhythms with electrical gradients. If animals can harness these signals, could humans not also be influenced?

Human cells are known to maintain electrical charges by regulating ion concentrations. If our most fundamental biological units are electrically charged, it stands to reason that fluctuations in the surrounding electrical field could affect us.

I am not a scientist, and I recognize the potential flaws in my reasoning. My intention is not to assert any definitive truths or present my own hypotheses but to foster the hope that one day, science may validate astrology.

There remains a possibility that there are forces or fields—both within us and in the cosmos—that we have yet to discover. This could potentially elucidate the connection between us and the celestial realm, serving as the key to understanding how astrology functions.
