Chapter 1: The Role of Environment in Success
Success is often influenced by one's surroundings. The age-old saying "location, location, location" rings true when considering the prospects in different parts of the world.

When examining life choices, the worst scenarios to encounter are:
- leading an ordinary life
- achieving success.
This dilemma often plagues individuals in Western nations. Your environment plays a pivotal role in shaping your path.
Having experienced life in both Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK, I can attest that my motivation to hustle varies significantly between these two regions. Back in Nigeria, I juggled three jobs simultaneously! In contrast, my current single job in the West frequently pushes me toward burnout.
What has shifted? My choices have evolved.
In Nigeria, the reality was stark: one could either live in poverty or attain success, with little room for a middle ground. The middle class in Nigeria is dwindling and increasingly rare. Life there demands extreme measures to ensure survival, akin to the Hunger Games.
In the West, the options are more varied: one can either lead a comfortable, average life or embrace discomfort for the chance at success.
I’d like to hear your thoughts. Is being average inherently negative?
Not at all.
However, I fear the burden of missed opportunities. I often reflect on the question — What could I have achieved? What was within my capabilities?
I want to explore my potential as a writer, guitarist, or entrepreneur. I want to see if I can attain a six-pack or master a handstand. The only way to discover my potential is by stepping out of my comfort zone and trying.
My message to you is this: Acknowledge the choices in front of you. Each day, with every action, you are selecting one path over another.
