Success is rarely straightforward; it often involves various detours and hurdles along the way. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all blueprint for success—what proves effective for one person may not yield the same results for you.
One certainty is that nothing is guaranteed. Even if you achieve considerable success in your writing endeavors, it doesn’t ensure it will be enduring or sustainable. The wisest course of action for your career is to disseminate your content as widely as possible.
Here are several strategies to amplify your content's reach:
Section 1.1: Embrace Social Media
Social media serves as an excellent tool for sharing your writing via cross-promotion. You can repurpose a single content idea in various formats—craft an article, create a concise post for Instagram, and produce a YouTube video based on the same topic. This approach offers multiple avenues for growth and potential monetization.
This insight comes from personal experience; just a month ago, I wasn't active on social media. I even wrote an article discussing my previous reluctance to share my writing due to fear of judgment from acquaintances. To overcome this concern, I launched a new account, treating it like a professional endeavor.
On January 1st, I initiated a fresh Instagram account and started a YouTube channel, posting roughly once a week. Since I began writing on Medium in late October, I’ve organically attracted over 500 followers while pursuing something I genuinely enjoy. Why not extend your efforts across multiple platforms?
Some platforms offer greater engagement than others—make the most of them. For instance, my Instagram Reels featuring mini-tutorials typically garner over 3,000 views each, despite my modest follower count of 40. In just six days, my content reached over 15,000 accounts, demonstrating the potential for widespread visibility.

Meanwhile, Instagram allows me to explore beauty and motherhood further and connect with a community that appreciates this content. I've even received recognition from leading beauty brands, resulting in complimentary products.
Chapter 2: Starting from Ground Zero
As previously mentioned, I’m relatively new to Medium, Instagram, and YouTube. Since starting on Medium in October 2021, I’ve gained over 500 followers and earned more than $120. While I wish I could dedicate more time to writing, I’m pleased with these results given that I only write a few hours each week.
Think long-term when considering your writing and social media success. You might experience rapid growth, or it could take time. Picture your future self—by 2025, you’ll likely appreciate the steps you took in 2022.
