In the world of Medium, it's not uncommon to encounter posts where individuals express their frustrations regarding aspects they don’t fully grasp. One prevalent concern is:

Why aren’t the articles from my favorite authors appearing in my feed?

Medium operates as a vibrant and ever-evolving platform. While some users are writers, others hail from technical backgrounds. Among these technical individuals, there are those who excel in coding over writing, while some writers may not be particularly tech-savvy. Despite our diverse backgrounds, we all converge in this intricate web of words and technology.

In our eagerness to engage—reading, applauding, following, and quickly moving on—we often overlook a crucial detail that can prevent us from missing out on our favorite authors’ latest work.

The solution is simple: Click on the envelope icon. It’s conveniently located next to the follow button for each of your favorite authors.

For example, when I follow a new writer on Medium, such as Anne Jennings Paris, I notice the envelope icon turns green. What does this signify?

Once I click on the envelope, I will start receiving direct email notifications every time this author publishes new content on Medium! This means I’ll never miss out on her insightful pieces. I’m all set to enjoy her writing without the fear of missing anything!

With this simple adjustment, there’s no need to lament about not being able to find your favorite author’s work. I hope this brief guide enhances your experience on Medium significantly!
